Sammy and Suzanne Wanyonyi Born in rural Kenya to village evangelists, Sammy arrived in the United States on a donated ticket in 1998 to pursue the worldwide call to preach the gospel, with no money or connections. He has since received a BA in Cross-Cultural Missionary Studies from Bethany School of Missions and a Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary. He is currently completing a doctorate in Global and Contextual Leadership from Bethel Seminary as well. In November of 2005, Sammy felt led to launch Shine in the World International Ministries (SWIM) as a vehicle for world-wide evangelism and strategic leadership. Since then, God has given him a preaching and pastoral leadership ministry that touches thousands of people around the world each year. In 2008, Sammy met and married the love of his life and reliable ministry companion Suzanne, a native Minnesotan and formerly a missionary at the University of Minnesota with Maranatha Christian Fellowship. They have one son, Samuel David Jr., and they make their home in Victoria, Minnesota, where they contribute to the pastoral ministries of Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen.
